So many believe that eating eggs on regular basis is bad for your heart. In terms that it is high in cholesterol. In fact a medium egg contains about 186mg of cholesterol, which is 62% of the recommended daily intake. However, it has been proven that eggs do NOT adversely affect cholesterol levels in the blood because eggs raise HDL (the good) cholesterol and they also change LDL (the bad) cholesterol from small, dense LDL (which is bad) to large LDL which benign.
Think about this...One egg contains all the nutrients and building block required to grow an entire baby chicken.
One study found that overweight woman who ate egg breakfasts lost twice as much weight as woman who started their days with bagels.
The protein in eggs has the highest biological value (a measure of how well it supports your body's protein needs) of any food, including beef. You need less protein from eggs than you do from other sources to achieve the same muscle building benefits. You need to eat the yolk which contains vitamin B12 which is necessary for fat breakdown and muscle contraction.
(Because The Rock Said so!!!) Whole eggs are incredibly nutritious, containing a very large amount of nutrients compared to the calorie load. The nutrients are found in the yolks, while the whites are mostly protein.
